That the Board of County Commissioners issue a Proclamation to Okeechobee County Grounds Maintenance Staff designating Monday, September 21, 2026 as National Lawns and Landscape day in Okeechobee County.  

That the Board of County Commissioners issue two (2) Proclamations designating the month of September 2026 as National Suicide Awareness and Prevention month in Okeechobee County, Florida. Proclamations issued to: Mr. Chad Adcock from 211 Palm Beach & Treasure Coast, and to Mrs. Leah Suarez from Our Village Okeechobee, Inc.  

That the Board of County Commissioners issue a Proclamation to Ms. Elisabeth Fox Garcia on behalf of Okeechobee Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution designating September 17 through 23, 2026 as U.S. Constitution Week in Okeechobee County, Florida.

That the Board of County Commissioners issue a Certificate of Outstanding Achievement to the 2026 Okeechobee OCRA 6U T-Ball team and Florida State Champions for their successful undefeated winning season within their division.

That the Board of County Commissioners issue a Certificate of Outstanding Achievement to the 2026 Okeechobee OCRA 10U AAA Baseball Team and Florida State Champions for their successful undefeated winning season within their division.

That the Board of County Commissioners issue a Certificate of Outstanding Achievement to the 2026 Okeechobee OCRA 12U Ozone Baseball Team and Florida State Champions for their successful undefeated winning season within their division.

That the Board of County Commissioners approve the Minutes from August 13, 2026 Regular Session.

That the Board of County Commissioners approve the Minutes from August 20, 2026 Regular Session.

That the Board of County Commissioners approve Warrants List 2026-16 in the amount of $3,531,119.62.

That the Board of County Commissioners review and approve the acceptance of a donation from Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) in the amount of $42,150.89 to be used by Okeechobee County Fire Rescue toward the purchase of a Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) and Skid Unit.

That the Board of County Commissioners approve and authorize the County Administrator to execute the Memorandum of Understanding between Okeechobee County and the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit for purposes of designating alternate facilities to support temporary court operations during emergencies, and as reviewed by the County Attorney.

That the Board of County Commissioners approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the State Aid to Libraries Grant Agreement renewal between the State of Florida, Department of State and Okeechobee County Board of County Commissioners for and on behalf of Okeechobee County Public Library for Fiscal Year 2026-2027 in the estimated amount of $132,013.

That the Board of County Commissioners approve the ratification of the submission of a Resilient Florida Grant Program Application to Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) to improve the drainage and flood protection within the Lazy 7 residential area, in the amount of $4,003,293.00 with an effective date of September 01, 2026.

That the Board of County Commissioners approve the ratification of the submission of a Resilient Florida Grant Program Application to Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) to improve the drainage and flood protection for the Berman Road and Nubbin Slough Drainage Area in the amount of $2,294,630 and authorize the Chairman to ratify with an effective date of September 01, 2026.

That the Board of County Commissioners approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the Land and Water Conversation Fund Program (LWCF) Grant Agreement #L747A (Project #LW747) for Kiwanis Park through State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), to revise the Grant Work Plan, provide a new grant agreement number and extend the terms of the Agreement to October 30, 2026.

That the Board of County Commissioners receive a presentation from Chief Deputy Michael Hazellief of the Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office on the Jail Bridge Program offered through the Okeechobee County Jail.

That the Board of County Commissioners review and approve the request from Mr. Jeff Ward to waive fees for the TNT Airboat Races at the Clif Betts Jr., Lakeside Recreation Area (Lock 7) on September 12, October 24, and December 12, 2026.

That the Board of County Commissioners approve and authorize the Chairman to execute Resolution 2026-58, amending the Fiscal Year 2025/2026 budget to reflect unrecognized revenue and adjustment in projected balance brought forward to audited fund balance, and approve Budget Amendment (BA) 26-34 in the amount of $6,094,872.

That the Board of County Commissioners review and approve the acceptance of the $18,949.96 donation from Gordie Peer Estate for the purpose of supporting the development of a playground at the Okeechobee County Library; approve Budget Amendment (BA)26-37 and Resolution 2026-64; and authorize the County Administrator or designee to take all necessary actions to administer the donation and implement the project in accordance with applicable County policies and procedures.

That the Board of County Commissioners approve and authorize the Chairman to execute an Independent Contractor Agreement with TransCore, ITS, LLC for Traffic Signal Maintenance and Repair Services.

That the Board of County Commissioners approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM), Federally-funded Subaward Grant Agreement #H1492, Project Number #4673-305-P74 for the Stormwater Master Plan for a total project cost of $500,000 (Federal Share $300,000, Non-Federal Share of $200,000), for Stormwater Master Plan and authorize the County Administrator to sign any extensions throughout the grant agreement period; and adopt Resolution 2026-62, amending the Fiscal Year 2025/2026 Budget to appropriate $300,000 in unanticipated grant funding; and approve Budget Amendment (BA) 26-36.
